Industrial facilities are some of the most energy intensive buildings worldwide. The need to be in continuous operations and with the primary focus on meeting production targets, energy efficiency often takes a backseat. Nonetheless, there is growing opportunity to engage key decisions makers in the process system within industrial facilities. Industrial energy management system (IEMS) is gaining traction as executives begin to understand the value of enhanced visibility and insight into enterprise performance and site-level strategic energy management.
We are proud to announce that AFGI has taken the initiative to move towards more environmentally friendly facilities and is targeting LEED’s certifications for one of its units by early 2016. Two more facilities are in the process of being converted later in the year.
